Assembly and conversion
How you can easily connect the three S beds to form a family bed without any tools is explained in the assembly instructions, where you can also find out how to convert the bed to your desired size. You can also take a look at our video tutorial. The conversion can be reversed at any time.

Matching mattresses
In general, all mattress types except futons are compatible with our bed. However, please make sure to choose a mattress with a minimum height of 15 cm and a medium-firm to firm comfort level, and follow any specific recommendations from your mattress manufacturer.

Note for smooth floors
For smooth floors, we recommend placing an anti-slip mat under the bed to prevent slipping.

The Family Bed 2.0 is designed with three individual beds in size S, which can be seamlessly connected using the included connectors. This modular setup allows you to quickly assemble the beds to your desired width, providing flexibility in designing your family bed. Standing at a height of 33 cm, the Family Bed 2.0 can be configured to span widths ranging from 225 cm to 300 cm. When not in use, it conveniently folds up similar to a folding bed, allowing you to lean the mattresses against a wall to reclaim space. The beds are remarkably lightweight, enabling you to move them independently, which is especially advantageous during relocation.

The sturdy rhombic construction of our Bed 2.0 eliminates the necessity for an additional slatted frame. Its open structure ensures adequate air circulation beneath the mattress, maintaining comfort without compromise. (More information about this here).

Crafted from top-quality, heavy-duty cardboard, the Family Bed 2.0 exemplifies stability and durability. Its robust construction supports up to four individuals weighing up to 150 kg each.

Our corrugated cardboard furniture embodies not only lightweight design but also ecological sustainability. Utilizing our specialized AVANA corrugated cardboard, which contains 54 to 80% recycled materials and is fully recyclable, reinforces our commitment to sustainability. We employ vegan corn starch-based adhesives and water-based, solvent-free inks. At the end of its lifecycle, simply dispose of the family bed in the paper recycling bin to reintegrate it into the recycling loop.

Compared to a conventional bed, the Bed 2.0 represents a significant reduction in environmental impact across its lifecycle. It consumes 8,000 times less energy from the extraction of raw materials to disposal, demonstrating its efficiency and sustainability. In terms of global warming, the Bed 2.0 contributes 280 times less emissions. Furthermore, its lightweight design makes transportation four times more climate-friendly than that of a standard bed. Our transport operations are climate-neutral, ensuring that the Bed 2.0 maintains its environmentally friendly profile from production to delivery. How do I assemble the Family Bed 2.0?

What sizes can the Family Bed 2.0 accommodate?
The family bed consists of three interconnected S-size beds, offering widths ranging from 225 cm to 300 cm. Additional S-size beds can be added to exceed this maximum width.

Can I adjust the size of the Family Bed 2.0 later?

Do I need a slatted frame for the Family Bed 2.0?
No, a separate slatted frame is unnecessary. The rhombic construction underneath the mattress ensures sufficient air circulation, aligning with recommendations from German Stiftung Warentest.

• Do not smoke on or near the Bed 2.0.

Contact with liquids:
• The Bed 2.0 must not be exposed to permanent wet contact.
• If it comes into contact with water, wipe it off with a dry cloth and let the Bed 2.0 dry completely before using it again.
• Long-term exposure to liquids can reduce stability.

Cleaning instructions:
• Only use dry or damp, soft cotton cloths.
• Do not use cleaning agents.

Please note:
• Because of the manufacturing process, the cut edges of the paper may be sharp.
• Assemble the Bed 2.0 carefully to minimize the risk of injury.
• For sustainability, water-based printing inks are used, which may cause slight color transfer.
• If you want to avoid color marks on the underside of your mattress, please use a mattress protector.

Storage instructions:
• The Bed 2.0 can be disassembled and stored flat in the packaging.
• Store the Bed 2.0 in a dry place, protected from external weather conditions.
• Expected useful life: 10 years.
