Don't worry! If water spills on the cardboard furniture, simply blot up the liquid with a dry cloth (without detergent) and allow the rest to air dry. Small areas of moisture won't compromise the stability of the furniture. However, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture as it can affect stability. Always check the furniture's stability after any contact with liquid.

Our furniture is not classified for fire protection.

Our cardboard furniture is crafted entirely from certified corrugated cardboard. It is composed of 54 to 80% recycled material and is 100% recyclable. The remaining portion consists of fresh paper fibers sourced from sustainable forestry. Corrugated cardboard is a natural product made from cellulose and corn or wheat-based adhesives. The inks we use are solvent-free and non-toxic, ensuring that our cardboard furniture is an entirely eco-friendly and safe product.

During production, small strands of material, known as "angel hair," can occasionally appear in the top layer of the corrugated board when it is cut by the die-cutting tool. This is a normal occurrence and not considered a material defect or cause for complaint. Typically, angel hair is located on the inside and should not be visible on the exterior. While we strive to minimize this phenomenon, due to the thickness of the material we use, it may still occur intermittently. Using a lower quality material would be the only alternative, but this would compromise stability. Rest assured, the presence of angel hair does not affect the quality or stability of your cardboard furniture in any way.

If you find that your cardboard furniture is too light in color, you can customize it by painting it to your preference. Acrylic paint applied thinly and evenly with a foam roller is suitable for this purpose. However, please note that we cannot guarantee the final result, so it's advisable to test the paint on a small, inconspicuous area first.

If your cardboard furniture is no longer usable and cannot be passed on to someone else, you can simply dispose of it in the waste paper bin. This allows the material to be recycled back into the raw material cycle for the production of new corrugated cardboard.

Our furniture is distinct from typical moving boxes or shipping packaging. Those are mass-produced using low-quality cardboard, which keeps their costs low. In contrast, RIAB cardboard furniture is crafted in Germany in smaller batches using top-grade corrugated cardboard and assembled with meticulous care. This approach ensures durable and high-quality furniture that offers long-lasting enjoyment.

Please use only dry or slightly damp, soft cotton cloths to clean your cardboard furniture. Avoid using harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.

Each piece of our furniture is crafted to serve as a robust alternative to traditional furniture, boasting high-quality construction. With proper care, you can anticipate a lifespan of approximately 10 years.

Corrugated cardboard furniture is exceptionally sustainable due to its high recycled content (54 to 80%), minimizing resource consumption. For instance, the Bed 2.0 boasts a substantially reduced environmental impact: its CO2 footprint and contribution to global warming are 280 times lower, it utilizes 8,000 times less energy, and its transportation is four times more climate-friendly due to its lightweight construction.

Our double beds (size L) are comprised of two interconnected single beds (size S), which you can separate anytime by removing the connectors.

If your bedroom has a very smooth floor like parquet or laminate, you may notice the bed sliding slightly. To address this, consider using a traditional anti-slip rug underlay. These are readily available online or at your nearby hardware store at a reasonable cost.

In general, all mattress types except futons are compatible with our beds. It's important to ensure that the mattress is at least 15 cm thick and medium-firm to firm.

Yes, using two single mattresses on a double bed is possible. In this situation, we recommend using a rubberized mattress protector between the bed and the mattresses to prevent them from sliding apart. It's also practical to use a fitted sheet that covers both mattresses for added stability and comfort.

Our assembly instructions include a size chart that indicates the appropriate bed size for your mattress and whether an additional extension set is required.

Setting up or converting your Bed 2.0 is straightforward and tool-free. Depending on its size, you simply need to extend or adjust it with a few easy steps outlined in our assembly instructions.

From size S to size M:

To expand from size S to size M, you will need a total of 6 additional rhombs. This requires three extension sets.

From size M to size L:

To enlarge from size M to size L, you'll need two size S beds. These are connected to form one large L-bed. You should purchase an additional size S bed and convert your existing size M bed back to size S. Note that this conversion cannot be achieved using extension sets. To revert the size M bed to size S, you'll need to remove 6 rhombs from the size M configuration.

It seems the beds may have been connected incorrectly. It's advisable to revisit the assembly instructions, which provide guidance on the correct positioning for connecting them. The sides featuring closed rhombuses should form the head and foot sections of the bed frame.

Our Bed 2.0, in its single bed version (size S), supports one person; in size Medium, it accommodates two people, and as a family bed, it can support up to four individuals, each weighing up to 100 kg. It is designed to be opened and closed hundreds of times.

In our Bed 2.0, you can do everything you would do in any other bed, including ordinary and intimate activities like sex. We conducted extensive long-term studies to ensure its durability and comfort. Additionally, our bed has been certified by the German TÜV according to DIN EN 1725, meeting all necessary standards required for beds in Germany.

The corrugated board material is naturally breathable. The rhombus construction and slits on the sides of the Bed 2.0 facilitate outward air movement when in use. To optimize this airflow, it's recommended to maintain a gap approximately the width of a hand between the bed and adjacent walls. This precaution helps prevent potential mold formation.

The Bed 2.0 folds flat for convenient storage, saving space. When not in use, you can lay it on its side and place the mattress on top of it against the wall.
