Family Bed 2.0
Linking three S-beds together enables the effortless construction of a family bed with a width of 225 cm or more. You can also discover it as an individual product here.

Load capacity
The Bed 2.0, starting from size S, accommodates one person, while size M comfortably fits two individuals, and as a family bed, it can support up to four people, each with a maximum body weight of 150 kg.

Production
The production of our Bed 2.0 is conducted ethically under fair conditions in Germany.

Matching mattresses
Typically, all mattress varieties except futons are suitable for use with our Bed 2.0. Nevertheless, please make sure to choose a mattress with a minimum height of 15 cm and a medium-firm to firm comfort level, and follow any specific recommendations from your mattress manufacturer.

Note for smooth floors
To prevent slipping on smooth floors, we advise placing an anti-slip mat under the bed.

Our Bed 2.0 stands out for its simplicity and versatility. With a height of 33 cm, it accommodates widths ranging from 75 cm to 200 cm. Its modular design facilitates easy adjustments to enlarge or reduce the bed size, making it adaptable to various needs, including its use as a family bed (with a width of up to 300 cm). When not in use, it can be conveniently folded up like a folding bed, allowing for space-saving storage against the wall, doubling as a guest bed. Its lightweight design enables effortless transportation, making it ideal for relocation.

Pre-assembled for common mattress sizes from small single to super king, our Bed 2.0 offers the flexibility for customization to other sizes with a simple conversion. Designed to negate the need for an additional slatted frame, it ensures optimal mattress comfort and sufficient air circulation with its open rhombic structure (more information in our magazine article).

Crafted from high-quality heavy-duty cardboard, our cardboard furniture boasts exceptional stability and durability. Its sturdy construction guarantees a high load-bearing capacity while being lightweight and environmentally sustainable. Made from corrugated cardboard containing 54 to 80% recycled material and fully recyclable, our furniture is eco-friendly from production to disposal. With adhesives based on corn starch and solvent-free, water-based paints, it adheres to sustainable practices throughout its lifecycle.

Compared to conventional beds, the Bed 2.0 significantly reduces its environmental footprint, contributing 280 times less to global warming and consuming 8,000 times less energy. Which Bed 2.0 size is suitable for my mattress?
Consult our assembly instructions and size chart to determine the best fit for your mattress.

What type of mattress is compatible with the Bed 2.0? 
Most mattress types, except futons, work well as long as they are at least 15 cm high and medium-firm to firm.

How do I assemble the Bed 2.0? 
Setting up or converting the Bed 2.0 is easy and requires no tools, as detailed in our assembly instructions.

Can I expand the Bed 2.0 later? 
You can adjust the size of your Bed 2.0 at any time and also connect it to another Bed 2.0. Our assembly instructions provide clear guidance.

Do I need a slatted frame for the bed? 
No, a separate slatted frame is unnecessary. Simply place your mattress directly on the bed. The rhombus construction and high air permeability of the corrugated cardboard ensure sufficient ventilation, meeting recommendations from German Stiftung Warentest.

What is the height of the Bed 2.0? 
The bed stands at a height of 33 cm.

How much weight can the bed support? 
The maximum load capacity varies by size, accommodating up to 1 person for size S, up to 2 persons for sizes M and L, and up to 4 persons for the Family Bed 2.0, with a respective body weight limit of up to 150 kg.

Can I separate my double bed into two single beds? 
Our double bed (size L) consists of two connected single beds (size S, which can be separated by removing the connecting pieces.

How should I store the bed when not in use? 
The Bed 2.0 folds flat for easy, space-saving storage. Alternatively, you can store it on its side with the mattress placed on top against a wall.

Safety Precautions

• Check the Bed 2.0 for damage or wear before each use.
• Do not use the product if damage is visible or suspected.
• The Bed 2.0 may only be used as intended.
• Improper use can result in injury to the user.
• Only place the Bed 2.0 on firm, level ground.
• Pay attention to stability.
• Avoid selective high loads.
• On smooth floors, secure the Bed 2.0 against slipping with a suitable underlay.
• Pointed and edgy objects can cause slight dents and scratches on the Bed 2.0.
• If visible damage occurs, check the bed for safe standing before further use.
• Do not use near open fire or heat sources (e.g. radiant heaters, ovens).
• Do not smoke on or near the Bed 2.0.

Contact with liquids:
• The Bed 2.0 must not be exposed to permanent wet contact.
• If it comes into contact with water, wipe it off with a dry cloth and let the Bed 2.0 dry completely before using it again.
• Long-term exposure to liquids can reduce stability.

Cleaning instructions:
• Only use dry or damp, soft cotton cloths.
• Do not use cleaning agents.

Please note:
• Because of the manufacturing process, the cut edges of the paper may be sharp.
• Assemble the Bed 2.0 carefully to minimize the risk of injury.
• For sustainability, water-based printing inks are used, which may cause slight color transfer.
• If you want to avoid color marks on the underside of your mattress, please use a mattress protector.

Storage instructions:
• The Bed 2.0 can be disassembled and stored flat in the packaging.
• Store the Bed 2.0 in a dry place, protected from external weather conditions.
• Expected useful life: 10 years.
