OKFor us, making furniture is only part of what we do. Over the years, we have joined forces with our customers to support social and environmental initiatives – from humanitarian aid and reforestation projects to organisations working on climate protection, education and equality.
Since March 2022, you have had the option to add a small donation to your order and support a good cause.
During the first six months, together we supported people affected by the war in Ukraine. More than €7,200 was donated to UNO-Flüchtlingshilfe, which provides humanitarian assistance to people affected by the war.
In August 2022, we changed the beneficiary to support another cause. Until early February 2023, more than €5,300 was raised for atmosfair, including our matching contribution. The donations supported the organisation's climate protection projects around the world.
From February 2023, donations went towards supporting people affected by the earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria. We chose Aktion Deutschland Hilft, an alliance of German aid organisations providing disaster relief, as our partner. Together, we raised almost €3,000 over four months.
In June 2023, we changed the beneficiary again. Over the following nine months, almost €6,600 was raised for the World Food Programme, the United Nations humanitarian organisation providing food assistance and working to combat hunger worldwide.
From March 2024 to March 2026, our chosen organisation was the Deutsche Stiftung Meeresschutz, which works to protect marine biodiversity and habitats. During this period, a total of €12,000 was donated to the foundation.
Since we want to continue supporting climate and nature conservation, we have chosen the WWF as the next beneficiary of our Tip Donation initiative. We appreciate everyone who chooses to support the initiative with a donation.
Trees are not only CO2 absorbers, they also provide habitats for countless species and protect against erosion and flooding. Nevertheless, several million hectares of forest disappear every year due to deforestation alone. Together with you and our partner Eden Reforestation Projects, we have been planting one tree for every product sold for a whole 4 years - from 2020 until 2023. Almost 110,000 trees have been planted this way, thanks to you!
From January 2020 to December 2021, Thursdays were "THURSDAYS FOR FUTURE! As part of our very own movement for a better future, we donated 100 € each week to a selected non-profit organisation and drew attention to a good 100 small and large associations from the most diverse areas, such as animal and environmental protection, humanitarian disaster relief, education and equality projects, as well as a wide variety of other social causes.
